I Don’t Know Much About Football …

But that said, I don’t think that a controversial draft pick should become a contract holdout.

Yes, John Elway did it.  But the lesson from Elway isn’t that he did it and got away from it, it’s that after a long, successful career, people still complain about it.  The distilled Elway career is “Broncos, Superbowls, the Play, and being a holdout.”

So, after winning back to back Superbowls, you still can’t shake the fact that you started your career as a whiner.  Think about it, Tim Tebow.

Election Season

Thanks to the miracle of the DVR and Al Gore’s series of tubes, I am seldom exposed to television commercials. A couple of days ago, however, I had the misfortune of seeing a series of political ads while laboring away at the gym.

This election season seems to be nine-kinds of piranha-y. And we’re not even through the primaries yet v
